Event Description:
Join us for a journal club where we will discuss the complex relationship between cannabis use, motivation, and the experience of eating. Cannabis use is commonly associated with an increase in appetite and changes to the perception of food, colloquially known as "the munchies." This session will explore the development and validation of the Cannabinoid Eating Experience Questionnaire (CEEQ), a tool designed to measure the psychological and behavioral effects of cannabis on appetite. We will also examine how different motivations for using cannabis, like coping or social motives, may influence an individual's experience of the "munchies." This journal club is relevant for researchers, healthcare professionals, and anyone interested in the intersection of cannabis use, appetite regulation, and eating behavior.
